WARNING: A unique taste experience!
This medieval mustard is strong, very strong, but it's not just for brave knights!
A black mustard seed grown on the outskirts of Narbonne, near the ponds between land and sea.
This traditional mustard is the fruit of a collaboration with Ghislain Durant, master mustard-maker in Castelnaudary, who has revived this activity after 250 years of dormancy. Mustard seed harvested on the outskirts of Narbonne, salt from the Gruissan salt marshes, our red "Philtre d'Amour" Hypocras and a granite stone mill are the ingredients that go into making this unique mustard!
You're about to discover new taste sensations: a naturally and pleasantly strong mustard, lightly spiced by the hypocras and nothing else, then a slight crunch from a few partially popped seeds and finally the vegetal aroma of the mustard seed.
