This Gallo-Roman beverage is a retranscription of a first century honeyed and spicy wine, whose name
of Mulsum is still uncertain as to its historical origin.
This honeyed wine with Mediterranean plant species, was made in the province of Narbonnaise, and exported throughout the Empire from the port of NARBO MARTIUS (Narbonne), to the port of Rome (0stie).
This beverage is made from a selection of wines from grape varieties: Carignan, Grenaches and Syrah, a characteristic combination of our Corbières terroir.
The only recipe for these Gallo Roman beverages comes from the writings of the famous Roman agronomist: Columelle born in Cadiz in the 1st century.
